As of Wednesday 13th May, we are no longer required to 'stay home'. We are allowed to leave home as much as we like but we must 'stay alert' and maintain social distancing. Government clarification of the new rule is that we can meet non-household people, one person at a time, as long as it is outdoors.
Unfortunately, it means that the Hermits premises must remain CLOSED for table tennis.
Our resident coach is Chris Town, who is a 'Table Tennis England' accredited coach, and who has a very long history in coaching table tennis. He first coached youngsters in Australia, then moved to South Africa where he became the Chief Coach in Natal, and then the Chief Coach in Eastern Transvaal. For many years he has coached players in Bradford, some of whom now represent various Bradford clubs.
Beginners are coached up to the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels, and beyond.
Parents are encouraged to join in (without cost).
More experienced players are coached to improve specific game skills.
It is not necessary to become a member of the Hermits club, or to be coached for a long period of time. All are welcome.Coaching Sessions
