Booking rooms and time slots is for Hermits players only. It is not for the general public.
Hermits players are full members and those who regularly play at Hermits, such as Tuesday morning
people and Highdale.
Booking rooms and time slots for using the Hermits premises is very important.
ALL uses of the Hermits premises must be booked in advance, including for activities other than table tennis.
It allows us to keep the number of people in each room down to 6 and below, and it provides important
information should tracing be necessary after a coronavirus infection has been discovered.
Play must finish by 10 p.m. Cleaning can be done after 10, but play must not continue.
How to book a table
1. View the existing bookings
to check that the room/time you want is available.
2. Phone one of the following to book it:-
Phil Craven (01274 780469)
Steve Morris (07846 532002)
or just phone one of the above.
Always book in advance, even if it's at the last minute.
Whenever you go to the club, always sign in and sign out,
and make sure that everyone who is with you does the same.
Signing-in/out sheets are in the room that you use.
Maintain social distancing inside the club and don't take chances.
It is people taking chances, thinking 'It'll be alright',
who are keeping the pandemic going for everyone.
That's the reason why the pandemic didn't end months ago.
Don't change ends. Unlike tennis, the wind conditions are the same at both ends,
so there is no need to change ends.
Use your own ball to avoid the slight risk of contamination by both players handling the same ball,
and don't handle the other player's ball. Kick it back to him/her.
To be on the safe side, cleaning the table before starting is recommended.
